This classroom action research aimed to explore the integration of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Social Studies (IPS) to foster students’ creativity and improve their learning outcomes. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Wanasaba in the 2021/2022 academic year, involving 32 students of class IX-B (16 males and 16 females, aged around 15 years). The research consisted of two cycles, each including four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The learning materials focused on Creative Economy—covering the concepts and strategies for developing Indonesia’s creative industries and the utilization of regional potential. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and achievement tests. The findings revealed that the implementation of the PjBL model successfully increased students’ enthusiasm, motivation, and engagement in the learning process. Students became more confident in presenting their ideas, participating in discussions, and producing creative projects related to the creative economy subsectors. Quantitatively, students’ learning outcomes improved by 15.6%, rising from 71.9% mastery in Cycle I to 87.5% in Cycle II. These results demonstrate that integrating Project-Based Learning into Social Studies effectively enhances students’ creativity, participation, and academic achievement. The study suggests that teachers should continuously implement PjBL as a learner-centered approach that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and contextual understanding in Social Studies learning.
