Open Access Policy, Archiving and Repository Policy

SCAD Independent is committed to bringing research by scholars in emerging nations to the attention of the global academic community. 

 

SCAD Independent provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. SCAD Independent provides researchers with rigorous, constructive, and timely peer review for all manuscripts. Anyone reading or publishing open access with SCAD Independent can be reassured that the same high standards apply as in traditional publishing models.

 

This statement is based on the OASPA, Budapest Open Access Initiative, and Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing. SCAD Independent highly values the personal information of its authors. We will aggressively pursue all legal avenues to protect the privacy of our authors and users against unauthorized uses.

 

All material published by SCAD Independent is protected under International copyright and intellectual property laws. The JIP is licensed under a Creative Commons 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA) or an equivalent license as the optimal license for the publication, distribution, use, and reuse of scholarly works. Access permissions beyond the scope of this license may be available at the digital libraries and open access repository databases.

This license permits anyone to compose, repair, and make derivative creation even for commercial purposes, as long as appropriate credit and proper acknowledgment of the original publication from a journal are made to allow users to trace back to the original manuscript and author.

This publisher utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the publisher for purposes of preservation and restoration. See More...

Repository Policy

SCAD Independent has the following repository policy.

1. Submitted Version
SCAD Independent allows authors to store their submitted manuscript in their personal repositories or other repositories which cannot be accessed by public. These repositories include but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, and Apple iCloud.

2. Accepted Version
SCAD Independent allows authors to store their submitted manuscript in their personal repositories or other repositories which cannot be accessed by public. These repositories include but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, and Apple iCloud.

3. Published Version
SCAD Independent allows and encourages authors to store their published version (pdf version) in their intitutional repositories, personal respositories and other repositories, and make it accessible for any use, even commercially, with proper retribution. All of published articles in Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun are deposited in Portal Garuda repository.
